Up one levelOn August 3rd, 2006, Congressman Duncan Hunter held a mini-conference to bring together key major components of San Diego County emergency preparedness organizations and the two major military commands in the San Diego region.
The purpose of this meeting was to outline the policy and procedures that allow for use of military assets in an emergency situation involving life, death and destruction of property. In addition, senior leaders from the SANDAG public safety committee, City of San Diego Office of Homeland Security and the San Diego County Office of Emergency Services were available to discuss possible implementation procedures.
